The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

The Silver State. 1894.

The Who have parted ways with Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr and the band’s drummer since 1996, in what appears to be a dispute over his playing at the band’s concert last month at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

“The band made a collective decision to part ways with Zak after this round of shows at the Royal Albert Hall,” a representative for the band said in a statement to the Guardian. “They have nothing but admiration for him and wish him the very best for his future.”

Zack thanks Uncle Keith Moon. Who gave him his first drum kit.
