In the hymn "One Voice", Manilow (pbuh) explains Big Bang Theory...

Barry is lovely, but he's hardly Rick Astley is he?
Together Forever is a work of sublime, spiritual beauty, such that Manilow can only dream of.

Re: The Church of Manilow
I would just like to add that I met a friend of mine's mother on friday who is a proper Manilow obsessive. What that exactly entails I am unaware but it's apparently true.
I do however happen to have a rather delightful review-thing she wrote of a concert she was at:

(Edited to take the name out)May 1: Hi Barry! I have so many wonderful memories of concerts over the last 30 years. I always think that the last time I have seen you as the best. Why? Well, simply because you keep outdoing yourself. Just when I think that I have seen the best concert ever, you go and surprise me, and the next one I see is even better than the last. I dont know how you do it, but I am not asking how... just keep doing it!! I especially like the new concert at the Paris Las Vegas. You feel the romance from the moment you walk in the auditorium. The whole place is wonderful. I love the beginning with the French music and the fireworks pictures, etc. "Could It Be Magic" is a brilliant start. Love the changes in themes throughout the concert and the way in which the slightly larger stage makes it easier for you to be centre stage more. I know that you love to promote your back-up singers and band, but people have come to see you and in that way this concert is better than the Hilton! Love the drumming by Russ and David. Love the changes to your Grandpa tribute. The pictures really help tell the story. And how do you change "Copacabana"? I know, by [disappearing] down a "hole"! Brilliant! The faces that you pull are so funny as you go up and down the little lift!! The tux is gorgeous, as is the show's beautiful ending. I will never forget the first time I saw you at Blenheim Palace in 1983, and I will never forget this last time at the Paris either. Here's to the next "last" concert... I will be coming back to see you from the UK as long as you are there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you and your Beautiful Music have brought my life! Love forever, -xxxxx- (England, UK) (5/18/2010)

Re: The Church of Manilow
There is a little bit of Manilow in all of us. It's a bit like that thing that cats have that gets in your brain and alters your behviour, Toxoplasma.....

Re: The Church of Manilow
Actually, I think there might be something profoundly wrong about internet stalking a friend's mother so as to find out what she really thinks about Barry Manilow. I should probably stop.
