Parklife is one of the best albums ever.
Is there for honest poverty
That hangs his heid and a' that
The coward slave, we pass him by
We dare be puir for a' that.

God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organized religion. - Superintendent Chalmers

It's not up to us to choose which laws we want to obey. If it were, I'd kill everyone who looked at me cock-eyed! - Rex Banner

The Bluebird of Happiness long absent from his life, Ned is visited by the Chicken of Depression. - Gary Larson

Whereas "Modern Life Is Rubbish" is one of the worst albums ever...
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Anyone who hasn't heard this song, before playing it you need to connect your computer to your Hi-fi, and your neighbours, then full volume, lots of bass, then press play.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

yeah! I just wish it would go on for longer....

reminds me when I lived in a bedsit in the late 80's, my upstairs neighbours used to put on Rick Astley and Kylie (and worse) so I would drown them out with my NAD and fuck off speakers (also had a big bass speaker my ex "acquired" from some gig somewhere) and then I would play Hendrix at ridiculous volumes. Or reggae, or Floyd, or Zappa. There is something about doing that which makes one just a little bit smug, don't you think?! I am though not quite so arrogant or provocative as I was then

I've told this story before (elsewhere ), but I'll tell it again: When our neighbours' horses invaded our patch many years ago, we retaliated by sticking the hi-fi speakers out the windows and playing some heavy metal (Motorhead or suchlike) at full blast. :demon:

BTW, anyone who plays Rick Astley and Kylie to the distress of his or her fellow human beings ought to be shot at dawn. :ddpan:

Anyone who thinks about getting up at dawn and using something like a gun, that makes lots of noise, ought to be shot at 3am with a suppressed pistol, then taken out to the woods and buried.

I hope your neighbours' horses didn't start headbanging; that would be a little freaky!
I remember my mum playing "pigs on the wing" to the cows on her farm once and they all gathered round mooing at her (but then they do that anyway I think!!) She seemed to think she had lured them with the music :hehe:
